Rajasthani Sattu

Badi teej is one of the important festival in Rajasthan and on its eve, I am posting today the recipe of Sattu which is dedicated to all the women who fast on this occasion. Even the non-fasting members love it too 🙂

3 cups roasted gram/chana (powdered)
3/4th cup sugar (powdered)
14 tbsp Ghee (melted)

In a bowl, add all the ingredients and mix well. Divide the mixture into portions. Roll them in balls and press it gently. Garnishing is optional and can be done with silver varak, saffron, almonds or cashews .

Note: Above recipe is for serving size of eight Sattu.
