Kadai Paneer


200 gm Paneer (Cottage Cheese)
1 medium sized onion
1 medium sized Tomato
1 medium sized Capsicum
2 Cloves Garlic
1/2 inch Ginger
1/2 tsp Ghee
2 tbsp Ghee/Oil
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
2 tsp coriander powder
1 1/2 tsp Red Chili powder
1/8 tsp Turmeric powder
1/8 tsp Garam Masala
Salt to taste
3 tbsp Yoghurt
1 tsp Crushed Kasoori Methi
Coriander for Garnishing


Cut paneer into small pieces. Heat ghee in a pan, fry the paneer pieces and keep it aside. Now heat ghee/oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste and then saute. Cut onion, capsicum and tomato into half and slice them. Add onion slices into the pan and fry till it turns golden. Add capsicum slices and saute for a minute. Now add sliced tomatoes and saute for few seconds very slowly. In a small bowl, mix yoghurt and all the other spices except garam masala. Add this mixture in the pan and cook it on low flame for 3-4 minutes. Add fried paneer, mix it and then add garam masala powder and Kasoori methi. Mix it well again and the dish is ready to serve. Garnish it with chopped coriander and serve hot.
