Gulab Jamum Ki Sabzi

Ingredients:

10-12 Unsweetened Gulab jamun
1 Medium sized onion
1/2 Inch piece Ginger
1 Green chili
2-3 Garlic
1 tsp Red chili powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
1 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
Salt to taste
1/4 tsp Garam Masala powder
4-5 Cashews
1/2 tsp Poppy seeds
1 tbsp Grated dry coconut
1/4 cup full fat Milk
1 cup Yogurt
2 tbsp Ghee
1 tbsp Cream

Method:

Soak cashews, poppy seeds and grated dry coconut in hot milk for 15 minutes and then make a fine paste of it. Grind onion into a fine paste. Also make fine paste of garlic, ginger and green chili.

Heat ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds and then add ginger garlic paste. Saute and then add onion paste. Saute onion until translucent. Mix the beaten yogurt, 1/2 tsp red chili powder, 3/4 tsp coriander powder, 1/8 tsp turmeric powder and salt in a bowl. Now add yogurt mixture into the pan and stir it continuously for 3-4 min on a low flame. Add cashew milk paste and boil it for 1 minute. Now add Gulab jamun in the gravy and let it boil for 2-3 minutes. Gulab jamun will absorb moisture from the gravy so add 1/2 cup water and let it boil for 2 minutes on low flame. You can add little more water to maintain the gravy consistency and at last add garam masala powder. Dish is ready and is served hot.
