Enjoy Basant Panchmi with “Meethe Chawal”……
1/2 Cup Basmati Rice
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 tbsp Ghee
Heat ghee in a pan, add cloves and once it crackles, add 1 1/2 cup water and boil. Add rice and let it cook. Just make sure that rice is not fully cooked (may be 3/4th cooked). In another pan, add sugar, 1/2 cup water and boil it until sugar melts. Then add saffron, rice and mix it well. Keep cooking until water evaporates. Once ready, garnish with chopped nuts and cardamom powder. Serve Hot.
