Another variety of Paratha…..

Methi Paratha



1 ½ cup Wheat Flour
1 cup Fenugreek (Methi) leaves
¼ cup Yoghurt
1 tsp Red chili powder
½ tsp Turmeric powder
½ tsp Fennel seeds
½ tsp Carom seeds
½ tsp Sesame seeds
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking parathas


Rinse fenugreeks (methi) leaves well and drain them completely. Add wheat flour, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, salt, fennel seeds, carom seeds, sesame and yoghurt to it. Mix it properly and add enough water to make smooth dough. Make medium sized ball of the dough and roll them into parathas. Put on the gas and heat-up the tawa on medium low flame. Cook both sides of parathas with some oil until the parathas becomes golden brown. Serve the parathas hot. It also tastes good with raita/pickle/tomato ketchup/coriander chutni.

 Note: Above ingredients are for making 8 Parathas
